From 11 June 2026, Belgian streets and squares will once again be coloured black-yellow-red and we will be cheering for our Red Devils during the World Cup Football. Watching the match together with friends or neighbours, on the village square or in a pub, fully decked out in the tricolour... fantastic! Let's cheer them - Tous ensemble! - to victory and have one big party.
And of course, whoever says party also says music. Because celebrating a goal or victory without rousing music is like a pub without beer, right? But even those who only broadcast the match need a music licence*.
So apply for your licence right away and arrange all music rights at once. In that way you can enjoy a devilish football party without a care in the world.
Score the right rate
We provide a formula for every football experience. So be sure to arrange your licence via MyUnisono as soon as possible. Tip: request your licence at least 5 days before the broadcast to get the best price.
Broadcast in your (catering) business
- Do you already have a licence for the use of music in your business? Then you’re all set and don’t need to do anything else. Your current licence also covers the broadcasting of the match(es).
- If you don't have a licence yet then apply for it quickly via MyUnisono > ‘Dagelijks gebruik’.
Broadcast on a big screen
- Do you only broadcast the match? Or will you also play mood music before/after the match or during the interval? In both cases, select on MyUnisono the option 'Een evenement' > ‘Uitzending sportevenement’.
- Are you also organising a party before/after the match? If so, you can immediately arrange all rights via MyUnisono > 'Een evenement' > ‘Feest/fuif’.
Broadcast during an event with music
Are you organising a fair, food festival, school party or other event with music and would you also like to broadcast the World Cup during this event? Then there are two possibilities:
- During your event you play music via an audio system (e.g. CD, radio, DJ table ...) and already have a licence for this music use. In this case, you do not need to do anything else. The licence for music use during your event also covers the broadcast of the match.
- During your event you only play live music (e.g. concert, festival ...). In this case, apply for an additional licence to broadcast the match. Follow the steps in the paragraph 'Broadcast on a big screen' above.
* You arrange the rights for the images and commentary on the match through UEFA and VRT or RTBF. For the music in the broadcast (e.g. during commercials, in coverages, at a goal, ...) you request a licence from Unisono.
