Sabam is the Belgian association for authors, composers and publishers. It supports its members in the valorisation of their rights and assists them in the creation, promotion and distribution of their works, both in Belgium and abroad. Active across five artistic disciplines (music, audiovisual work, theatre and dance, visual arts and literature), Sabam contributes to the development of the cultural and artistic economy. Sabam also represents the rights of foreign authors in Belgium through close collaborations with foreign authors’ societies.
Make your pop-up bar or restaurant a hit: music as the secret ingredient!
Spring is in the air and summer's on its way. This means pop-up bars and restaurants start appearing everywhere. A sunny terrace, delicious food and drinks, a lively atmosphere—and, of course, music to complete the experience!
A well-chosen soundtrack sets the mood, attracts customers, and turns an ordinary night into a memorable event. Did you know that customers stay longer and even spend more when there’s music? The right sound isn’t just a nice extra—it’s a smart investment in your guests’ experience and the success of your pop-up.
Creative ways to use music
Want to make your pop-up stand out? Use music to create an immersive atmosphere and attract more visitors. Here are some inspiring ideas:
- Theme nights: A Latin night with salsa beats, a nostalgic '90s throwback, or a smooth jazz evening—each creates a unique vibe. Match the mood with themed cocktails or special dishes inspired by the music theme.
- Live music: Intimate acoustic sets enhance the ambiance and make your pop-up a must-visit spot for music lovers.
- Audience interaction: Let customers vote for the night’s playlist via social media. This adds an interactive touch and increases engagement.
