Unisono provides a special scheme for companies, associations and public services in which a large proportion of the staff:
- are employed in public workplaces where a fee is already paid to Unisono for playing music.
- cannot listen to music, which under certain conditions may result in the entitlements not being calculated based on the total number of FTEs on the social balance sheet.
Is your company (group), association or public service not in one of the above situations? Then you have the option of applying for a special arrangement for calculating copyright when the general rate structure is unsuitable for your concrete business situation.
Impossibility of listening to music in the company, association or public service
Conditions for application of the special schemes
- Your company, association or public service contacts Unisono when it wants to apply for a special scheme.
- Justify your application based on objective and verifiable data (evidence). If Unisono refuses the application for a special arrangement, it too must be able to justify its decision on the basis of objective and verifiable data.
- Are there no objective and verifiable data available? Then your company, association or public service will grant access to Unisono for verification.
- When it is established that your company, association or public service is in a situation for which a special regulation applies, Unisono applies this special rate.
- Special arrangements apply only to music in the workplace and the combination rate, and are interpreted restrictively.
- If the general rate is more advantageous for your situation, that rate will obviously continue to apply.
Rates
The Unisono rates listed here (excl. 6% VAT) are indexed annually based on the December n-1 consumer price index.
These fees take effect from the application month for a special arrangement if you apply for it together with a Unisono licence for playing music in non-publicly accessible premises.
Do you already have a Unisono licence to use music in the workplace and are now applying for a special arrangement? Then the special rate will take effect from the year of your application.
